The Sparx 2 Cornet mouthpiece provides outstanding evenness in tone, intonation, response, agility and articulation from top to bottom of the range. It allows me to achieve what I want in a cornet sound — dark, but clear and focused (without being thick or diffuse). I am very appreciative of a musician/craftsman devoting time and expertise to developing a superior cornet mouthpiece, one that is designed for the specific requirements of the cornet.
